WineRar

Windows user who thinks to go linux:
w:"Hey: can i use winrar under linux?"
l:"Yes, you can, because of wine"
(some months later)
w:"Hey: is there a better compressor?"
l:"Of course! Try 7z"
(7zip compression is better than rar, no doubt; still rar is far more 'popular', think about that too) - Oct 12 2007

Maybe that covers the task of extract a single rar, but what about extract hundreds of archives to relative folders or compress hundreds of folders to relative archives, create multi-volume archives, or protect them with passwords...

Maybe you would like to explain me how to do it without using scripts or command lines, thanks. - Oct 09 2007
SMPlayer Redesigned

Various KDE 1.-4. Improvements by VectoR 4 comments

Too bloated, i didn't like it very much.
It would be also very difficult to show such as beautiful graphic analyzer, smplayer is a front-end to mplayer which doesn't support any.
Same for the real-time equalizer, mplayer can't do it without reload the file.
