Ultra pack - 220 color schemes

Gnome 2 Color Schemes by nitrofurano 11 comments

I also enjoy a lot this feeling on seeing people following some work i did! :-)

And btw, i'm that kind of person really can't stop using open-source when working somewhere used to only uses proprietary software - some animated gifs i did frames on Photoshop were animated using gifsicle, and some videos i edited on Premiere getting compressed and resized with ffmpeg - this is another reason i believe open-source has a very important place on the companies we used to work, and people there still not seeing how useful are FOSS tools, and how they are also free of licence headaches as well...

And for now, i'm really only missing multipages and CMYK on Inkscape (just like on Freehand), and CMYK on Gimp...

this situation also happened with me around 2001 or 2002 - but well, Photoshop 5, Illustrator 8 and Freehand 7 runs fine on Wine... :-p - well, now as i were in a less demanding professional time as Graphic Designer, i were only using Inkscape and Gimp, and trying to 'survive' with them (and also trying to be colaborative enough on making them as good or better than these proprietary ones...) - Jul 15 2008

KDE 3 Color Schemes by dax918 86 comments

well, i downloaded and everything looks fine - 220 theme folders, and 18 files in each folder - works fine on Audacity...

a real complete enough version may take some while to get done (assuming nothing never got really complete...), since the .xpm template needs constantly lots of small fixes... :-(

another point: there's no reference about you as author in this kcsrc pack - on the converts, i'm affraid only my name is appearing when people open the scripts in the text editor, what i think it's not fair, since you did all them, and i just converted them - as far as you can, please put there some txt saying you were the author, even if the schemes are gpl/cc-sa ... :-) - and so i'll update the Gnome and Fluxbox versions downloadable pack... - Jul 10 2008

Well, for me the idea of Linux having so many distros is maybe one of the most wonderful think it has, because each organization or company used to create a distro for their needs, and what in their oppinions could be there - and later by comparison getting the best from ones to anothers. Slax based on Slackware were one example, and so on. They show us the flexibility Linux can have, and i think it's great! Maybe were why Linux grown so much in these times, and why Ubuntu finally appeared from Debian.

I think the main differences about distros now are mostly focused on how the applications are packaged: .deb, .rpm, tarballs, Slax modules, etc. I think it's the only really annoying point for me, since there are lots of applications still about to be packaged, and some very interesting projects may get abandoned in the meanwhile, just because mostly people (like me) can't do a simple configure/make, and are keep on nagging people to package them (like on http://launchpad.net) ... this is really the sad point....

good point, maybe i may start sharing mine ones as cc-nc-sa as well - the problem is i mostly use to pack code (gpl) with art together, and this makes me somehow confusing... you know, cc-nc-sa made from or converted from a gpl script...

Btw, thanks on providing so many good colour schemes, which will help a lot http://gnomecc.sf.net development as well, and maybe making this as default for Gnome! :-) (and maybe some future interoperability between Gnome, KDE and others in this level, like defining compatible norms?) - Jul 10 2008

there is a Python script to convert - people may want to work on this code to make converters from .gnomecc/.basecolorpalette/.style/etc... to .kcsrc

i did it since it seems to be GPL, and Gnome is really needed of colour schemes...

XMMS Skins by Mandarancid 4 comments

I were really looking for xmms skins like this! It's really rare finding a winamp-like skin like this! :-D

As well, can i use it as .xpm template for a .gnomecc/.kcsrc/.style/.basecolorpalette colour scheme converter, since it seems to be cc-sa/gpl?
