The package provided by PPA include the Ubuntu logo by default. Try to uninstall the package and remove old Faenza themes from ~/.icons. Check that /usr/share/icons does not contain any trace of Faenza and then reinstall it from the PPA. - Aug 11 2010

The icons used in toolbars are the same used for buttons and menus. We could circumvent this problem by making light actions icons in 22x22 and 24x24 and dark ones in 16x16, but the GTK theme you used might set the correct icon size for controls (most of theme display some 22x22 icons in buttons, e.g), or hide buttons and menus icons from gconf-editor. Not very convenient...

Anyway, it's a lot of work and my first priority is to complete the actual theme. I keep this idea in mind but don't expect some light actions in a near future. - Aug 11 2010

Of course it works, but without the script you can't choose your distrb logo or make a system wide installation. This script will do other things in the future like replace liferea notification icons by monochrome ones, etc... - Jul 30 2010

For the moment, I'll keep the default layout for others distros. The Lucid layout is already available with Equinox Radient and Equinox Ambiant themes and I don't want to have too much themes to maintain (it's a lot of work). But i'll keep an eye on Maverick to see what they do with windicators... - Jul 30 2010

Thanks for your packages: you made one of my friend happy ;)

If you found that controls are too small, delete or comment those lines in the gtkrc file (you will find it in ~/.themes/Equinox Ambient/gtk-2.0 or /usr/share/themes/Equinox Ambient/gtk-2.0):

gtk-icon-sizes = "panel-menu=22,22:panel=22,22:gtk-button=16,16:gtk-large-toolbar=22,22"

Gnome menu color is controlled by a color variable named 'panel_bg' in gtkrc file.

Search for the style 'theme-black', you will see this line:
color["panel_bg"] = shade(0.25, @bg_color)

Change the value by whatever you want and adjust the colors below. Then, search for style 'theme-panel' and remove the background pixmap.

Hi,

1) The font i use (for controls and window titles) is Aurulent Sans. You can dowload it here : http://www.dafont.com/fr/aurulent-sans.font.

2) Check your panel properties. In background tab, the first option must be selected. - Apr 19 2010
An update will be released soon with 2 new metacity themes corresponding to the new button layout. Actual themes will remain available for other distributions and for the ones who don't like the new lucid layout (like me).

In gtkrc file, you can change the value of bg[ACTIVE] in the "theme-menu" style to modify the border color of the menus.

Concerning the progressbars, i will add a parameter in the next update of Equinox engine to disable the glassy effect. - Apr 06 2010

I don't see what you mean. If the menu button (the left one with the arrow) is missing, try this :

Launch gconf-editor and look a the value of the key named button_layout in /apps/metacity/general. Mine is menu:minimize, maximize, close.

Hope this helps - Mar 24 2010

OK, i have no way to test compilation on 64 bits architecture.

On a 32 bits system, two files are created by compilation :
/usr/lib/gtk-2.0/2.10.0/engines/libequinox.la
/usr/lib/gtk-2.0/2.10.0/engines/libequinox.so
Could you find them on your system and where ?

Perhaps you should try --target=x86_64-pc-linux option with ./configure command.
