Yeah,the plant is cool indeed :) - Sep 28 2008
I wish they were not shaded but that is done by the engine and could not be disabled. - Sep 27 2008
The font is Droid Sans. - Sep 10 2008
So the thing is with compiz-fusion then as I'm using metacity with no desktop effects enabled there is no such problem. - Sep 08 2008
As I said in page 2 :

"I'm afraid this is beyond my scope as it requires a new version of emerald or may be better integration of the window manager with gtk."

So if you don't want this line use metacity :) - Sep 08 2008
On the wiki the pack contains both theme that uses Human and one that uses Elementary Ubuntu. The reason for human is that it is intended to be for other audince as the theme may go into Ubuntu but there are not Elementary icons available so a compromise must be done.

As far as the wallpapers they are my first attempt at this kind of stuff. For more candy you may go here: - Sep 07 2008
Thanks for letting me know. In the next version released I'll include the theme. - Sep 07 2008
Its fixed. You can download v 0.5.9 and everything will be ok. No warnings or errors at all. - Sep 07 2008
Thanks. If you have any info on what is causing the warnings I'll be glad to hear it. - Sep 02 2008
Well this is not fatal because it is warning. What version of new wave are you using because in the latest one all the warnings are fixed but that with the gradient? I'm still searching its source.
- Sep 02 2008
OpenOffice as well as Firefox and some other programs does not follow the GNOME HIG correctly thus resulting in strange looking controls. That is not a problem with my theme but with the program itsef. - Sep 02 2008
Will see what I can do about it but probably the creators of Dust would like to do that. I will give them my metacity theme with pleasure. - Sep 02 2008
New Wave is using pixmap engine now because customizing its own would be too difficult and would not be available to everybody. So the source code for that experimental engine I wrote is obsolete and should not be considered at all. - Sep 01 2008
Reverting back to Elementary because tangerine are too old. - Aug 29 2008
Tangerine is a temporary solution for now because the Elementary Ubuntu are still under development and not easy to download. - Aug 29 2008
Thanks for the feedback. This bug have been reported already and you can subscribe for it here: - Aug 27 2008
No it is not intended. Try to download the theme from here and install it over the current one: - Aug 26 2008
I've posted confirmation and a screenshot of the problem. Now we hope somebody to respond to it :) - Aug 25 2008
Thanks for the feedback.
You should report that as a bug in the Gnome's bugzilla though. All other programs work fine even inside the Tomboy's menu if you point to Notebooks the submenu is using the correct colors. - Aug 25 2008
This is the reason for the bug but it should be fixed. On my pc I have a symlink in my /root/ pointing to /home/.themes/ so this should why I'm not getting it.

I confirmed the bug at Launchpad and will try to fix it as soon as possible. - Aug 24 2008
Hmmm ...

Can you describe what did you do to install the theme step by step?

1. Download
2. Extract where?
3. ....

What is the OS you are using and what version it is?

If you have launchpad account you could report the bug here:

- Aug 24 2008
You should rename one more file. It is in:
'/home/<username>/.themes/New Wave/gtk-2.0/Images/'
and is called MenuBar.png too.

Sorry for the double post. - Aug 24 2008
Yes you could go to your theme folder /home/<username>/.themes/New Wave/gtk-2.0/Images/Menu-Menubar/

And from there rename the file 'MenuBar.png' to 'MenuBar-No.png'. Then reload the theme. If you want to bring it back just rename the file to 'MenuBar.png' again. - Aug 24 2008
If you want to have the orange version you will have to download and install bazaar:

or use Synaptic Package Manager. Then in terminal window you should write this command:

bzr branch lp:~ubuntu-new-wave/anton/devel.icons

There is a blue version that the orange one is derived form:

- Aug 23 2008
The theme is called Elementary Ubuntu and is developed alongside the gtk and gdm themes by the New Wave Team.

The project files are uploaded to the Launchpad site (collaborative place):

The icons can be checked out (downloaded) from here:
- Aug 23 2008
One more tip:

3. If you want to make your menu in Firefox readable you will have to copy the file userChrome.css in you profile's directory. For Firefox the path is ~/.mozilla/firefox/(xxxx).default/chrome/ where (xxxx) is some text different over installations.

Anton - Aug 22 2008
I'm afraid this is beyond my scope as it requires a new version of emerald or may be better integration of the window manager with gtk.

However thanks for the feedback :) - Aug 22 2008
Thanks. I have a few tips for you:

1. You might want to make the transition from the metacity titlebar to the menubar smooth. In this case you will have to copy the contents of the /gconf/gwd folder located in the theme pack in ~/.gconf/apps/. There is a readme file inside gconf too.

2. To get the appearance of the screenshots you will have to use Emerald window manager and install one of the themes in the Emerald folder.

- Aug 22 2008
I tried to reproduce it but with no success. Here's an image to proove it:

If I have wrongly understood you them please explain me again what is the problem you have. - Aug 22 2008
It is OK. I'm happy that the problem is solved :) - Aug 22 2008
Opps sorry but I DO understood you :) What I ment to say was I do not know why are you getting the error. On my and other PC's the panels appear all-right. Have you tried to restart your Xserver or even the PC and then see if the problem is still present? - Aug 22 2008
Thank you:)

However I do not understand what and why are you getting as error. Can you show me image or screencast? I hope I'm not asking too much. - Aug 22 2008

I was thinking of this but it's just on paper. I will give it some priority as it will be good with the upcoming Ibex guest account. - Aug 29 2008
Thank you! I was just wondering what other colors may be included. In the next release it will be done. Expect it soon :) - Aug 27 2008
These words are my greatest award! Thank you. - Aug 24 2008
I can try this but I'm not promising anything as this is new to me :) - Aug 24 2008
Happy to hear this :)

I've uploaded them at the New Wave's page (look for "Square Lines"):

If you are interested you could have a look at this page: - Aug 22 2008

It looks good but I think the fonts do not match the image on the back. They are too sharp and edgy. May be a change in color can help. - Aug 19 2008
