The bottom/left/right tab-notebooks are indeed just flipped because it's a lot of work to create them, but I will correct it when I have time and feel bored. :)
The active tabs don't glow in the kde4 I am currently using parallel (KDE 4.0).
"-Checkbutton backgrounds were fixed, but radiobuttons still have slightly off bg in corners.
-Optionmenu button has different arrows than rest of theme."
Oh, I will fix it in the next update.
"-In twf, the GtkCombo doesn't have the same nice button as the ComboboxEntry button."
Unfortunately it is not possible to create nice GtkCombos (the ones with entries) because this widget is deprecated and was replaced by GtkComboBoxEntry (the pixmap engine doesn't support prober skinning of it).
"-When progressbars are smaller than a certain %, they have a larger width than the progressbar background."
Yes, I noticed that and I will try to fix it.
"-In the new update, the buttons cut off the top and bottom of icons in the window-list."
That's because I have increased the thickness of buttons. The minimum recommended panelheight is now 26px.
Thank you for reporting everything! - Aug 07 2008

But I have to ask you to stop creating themes for gnome, because you are preventing people from going to my site, by providing equal or better themes. ;) - May 26 2008
Panel:
I wanted the panel to look as simple and unobtrusive as possible, so it doesn't get in the way when you manage the windows.
Mac-like look:
It's true, it looks somehow similar to OSX's style, but I don't know why that is a bad thing. It's not like all of this theme is stolen from OSX. I think it is unique enough. :)
ps: It looks less like OSX when you choose a different iconset (although I wouldn't recommend that, because the elementary-iconset is really great). - May 21 2008

Please give me a hint why you are voting down. I would really like to know, because I could improve it...

But I made an icontheme based on the osx icontheme that includes some of the crystal icons.

Just comment out the line in the gtkrc file (of the theme) where it defines the background-image for the menubar
something like:
engine "pixmap"
{
# Menubar background
image
{
function = BOX
state = NORMAL
file = "Menu-Menubar/menubar.png"
stretch = TRUE
}
to:
engine "pixmap"
{
# Menubar background
image
{
function = BOX
state = NORMAL
### file = "Menu-Menubar/menubar.png"
stretch = TRUE
} - Jun 15 2007

This happens because evolution uses a uncommon widget in its toolbar.
It not a theme specific problem.

"It looks nice, but you see... we miss something - the graphics engine... i think it is futile to try to copy OSX further, they introduced quicklook and tons of animations everywhere, copying the cocoa elements just wont do it anymore."
Hmm, a lot of effects are already available on Linux, for example the wall plugin for Beryl (its exactly like "places"). - Jun 13 2007

I know this, but I don't know why this happens. :(
"The grey highlights for button widgets are quite large, giving everything a chunky look and spacing tool bars out unnecessarily. Perhaps you could shave a few pixels off them? There's a similar issue with tabs, although not as pronounced."
I made this theme for very small font sizes, I'm using font size 8 in applications (HandelGotDLig 8 looks very good with this theme).

Hey, I know my theme is based on another one too (Linsta GTK) but I really changed a lot.
You just changed some lines in the gtkrc. - May 08 2007

Everything is secular if it is not related to religion. Themes are not related to religion. You have to tell me where gnome-look.org states that religious stuff is appreciated.

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
(Redirected from Secular)
Jump to: navigation, search
This article is about the condition of not being specifically religious. For other usages, see the Secularity (disambiguation) page.
Secularity (adjective form secular) is the state of being separate from organized religion. For instance, walking and bathing may be regarded as examples of secular activities, because there is nothing inherently religious about them. - May 04 2007

I don`t want anybody to "spread there word" out here, no muslims, christians, buddhists or atheists.
What would you think about images which contain messages like "satan rules", "allah is great", "Ganesha owns em all" or "there is no god, atheism is the only way"? - May 04 2007

And they contain no political or religious statement. They are part of the theme.

There is almost no demand for religious stuff, and imo religious stuff doesn`t belong to gnome-look.org. - May 04 2007
