In fact I said yours is a nice idea, it's not a copy or something like that, I just notified there was a new stuff doing almost the same thing, plus other features.

Mainly the project was named Hydroxygen Light Plus, it's somewhere in gnome-look and in ubuntu-it forum.

Nope useless coz this one doesn't have any GUI and it's just a multicolorized theme while Eclip-X is a theme editor / colorizer so you don't need a specific theme, you have a gui and you can set the emblems of the colorized folders.
Is that the same for this project?
However eclip-x is already pre released with a different name ;) - Dec 21 2009

I've forget to add "coming-soon" to "project".
However it's almost done, in few day's I'll release it, I'm adding new folders and other stuffs.

This is a demo of the beta version, there are a lot of iconsets, including Humanity and gnome =P

I'm gonna add some icons of yours in my future project, however, instead of think about the color (I can have it done by script for you) concentrate in shapes and emblems ;)
So your FFW will grow faster and more beautiful ;)

Gonna include some icons of yours in a project of mine named Eclip-X, of course crediting.

I just need some emblems and some other stuff, as I can see I don't need too much work on integrate emblems with folders because you are using hydroxygen ones ;)

Nice upgrade mate ;)
One thing, don't use a "download file by file" way but download tars.
It's better because you need less time to download them (for people with no flat internet) and you'll avoid a lot of pingings to dropbox ;) - Dec 06 2009

Such as you can choose by script the folder color to use in a pre-made iconset, you can use a script to colorize them, look at my project, Hydroxygen Light Plus, it's a new way of thinking an iconset. - Nov 03 2009

ReMiX (with 3 folder colors!)

Full Icon Themes by maxo64 68 comments

Instead of making 3 or more different folder sets make a gray-scale one and use imagemagick to colorize them and to add emblems to folders, so instead of 30 icons you have to use only closed and open folder. - Oct 31 2009

I'm almost done with code changing in Hydroxygen Light Plus, you can start coding integration part.
Icon integration is completely done.

I've just got a problem with a choice of the older coder:

program just search in your active iconset for icons, while I want to provide a fixed path.
Unluckly I ignore how to have this in python.

If you are able to, change that feature, you can find it in utils.py, second "def".

I suggest you to use "grey" icons to color changing to prevent awful results in colorization.

I've achieved best performance with decolorized images.

However, your script doesn't create ~/.icons/change/scalable/etc.
Is that normal? - Oct 07 2009

One more thing, in "install.sh" sobstitute lines:

Quote:mkdir ~/.local
mkdir ~/.local/share
mkdir ~/.local/share/applications

with:

Quote:if [ ! -d ~/.local ]; then
mkdir ~/.local
fi
if [ ! -d ~/.local/share ]; then
mkdir ~/.local/share
fi
if [ ! -d ~/.local/share/applications ]; then
mkdir ~/.local/share/applications
fi

This will prevent creating already existing folders. - Oct 07 2009

Hi,
I'm really interested in your project, I'm developing a fork of Hydroxygen, the Light Plus version (http://www.gnome-look.org/content/show.php/Hydroxygen+Light+Plus?content=112464).

What about a merged version?

If someone wants the light version of hydroxygen (42 MB instead of 72) just remove the original hydroxygen and install this one:

http://dl.getdropbox.com/u/1113702/hydroxygen/hydroxygen.tar.gz

it requires zenity for the diplaying of the download progress bar.

The modified script inside allow you to have just the folder type you want, allowing you at the same time to download the new desired one.

[Usage] sh change-type name_of_the_stuff

(it's the same as before)

So you won't be able anymore to change the features selected =D

An easy way to have a smaller size and no unwanted icons is to split the online pack into parts so, when you choose "red folders" you download and install ONLY red folders ;) - Aug 28 2009

Windows Seven Plastic Theme

GTK2 Themes by asilaydyingdl 27 comments

You have to fix some dependencies in your "index" file:
- You have put as engine SevenPlastic but you have to rename it in "sevenplastic" or it will give error
- Why dependencies on Lista icons?
gnome would be better (you surely have those icons)

And a suggestion:
It's better for you to edit mine Vista theme, it's more accurate I guess, and You have to work on button panels too, they're not the same as in 7 ;) - Mar 20 2009

...there are a lot of stupid people that doesn't apreciate the WORK of a person =)
Maybe they don't know that it's not so easy begin from 0, so, first someone has to improve his skills "imitating" something (and it's not so easy though =) ).

So, don't complain, if you want originality, instead of criticize his work, give him some hints.

Now, the artist =)

Hi mate,
just tried your theme (just control as I can see).
There is a problem with the progress bars, the vertical ones disappear after a certain point, and the horizontal ones haven't got a initial status.
(Tested with "The Widget Factory")
I Suggest you to make the colors choosable and not locked.
(I can tell you how if you don't know it).
And you need to fix the colors of the text in parts as firefox and so on.
The circular checkbox are giving problems, I see a black square under them, and this is not the maximum from life.
Well I'll vote good the same, this can become a great work! =) - Mar 10 2009
