..that would be possible to do (by hacking Media ScreenSaver, for example). But then think about what will that look like. Portions of different episodes of Babylon 5 followed by pieces from Indiana Jones followed by scenes from Wag the Dog followed by some pr0n... That would be hell of a mess :) - Mar 25 2006

Well, I realized I didn't have the /etc/powersave dir, so I created it and copied all the files from the source dir. Still, nothing worked. Although I've set the debug level to 15, not a single message appeared in the logs.

I'm using Gentoo, compiled powersave-0.11.5 by hand. - Jan 20 2006

I found out that powersaved quits just after being started. It creates /var/run/powersaved.pid, but there's no process with that PID.

I tried to debug, but GDB told "Program exited with code 01.", so it didn't crash. - Jan 20 2006

Well, Oracle and MySQL both support least() and greatest(), but SQLite and Postgres do not. Min() and max() are better supported.

BTW, amaroK has a builtin version of sqlite, so it doesn't link to an external sqlite lib. - Nov 27 2005

...it would be even nicer if it could install packages. Now you need to search and then return to a console and type "apt-get install packagename", which is somewhat less convenient. Most people use either CLI or GUI, and they don't like jumping back and forth.
