This is what your theme folder should look like.

~/.themes/Divinorum Revisited-1.2/gtk-2.0/

your gtkrc and panel.rc file should be place in the gtk-2.0 folder.

NOT a separate gtkrc folder like you have.

Also, you do not need menubar.rc.

hope that helps. - Feb 13 2011

Insert this at the beginning of your gtkrc file:

include "panel.rc"

download this file http://dl.dropbox.com/u/16214019/panel.rc

place it in gtk-2.0 of theme.

Hope that helps. - Feb 12 2011

Talika applet

Various Gnome Stuff by vinoddahiya 113 comments

I also had this issue on Mandriva. However, I installed version 0.49 from a repo I found somewhere (there was a link posted here, however it didn't work) and have no issues with it. Given said that, version 0.49 is somewhat lacking, and doesn't have all the new functions that 0.50 brings.

THIS CAN BE FIXED. I extracted the 64bit deb file, and copied over all the necessary files into their respective directories for the applet (I just opened up the package manager and found where talika 0.49 files were), except for the bonobo server file. I did this, and now I have the latest version. Let me know if you have problems finding a x86 version of talika 0.49. - Feb 04 2011

I'm just curious if anyone out there is having the same issue as me?

When gnome panel is not in expanded mode, workspace switcher doesn't update (or its very slow to respond when it does) when the option "include all workspace" is enabled.

The issue has been replicated on all three of my machines, running Linux Mint 10, Mandriva 2010.2 and Slackware 13. - Jan 29 2011

Thank you so much for this! I have tried all the dock programs as I am a big fan of icon application indicator (as opposed to the use of buttons in gnome), but always find myself coming back to the gnome panel. Have not found a dock that's as simplistic as the gnome panel. This applet gives the gnome panel that elegant touch. Long live the gnome panel! Thanks again! - Jan 28 2011

Cover-thumbnailer

Hello everyone. After finally getting this thing to work, I could not stop playing with it for hours...as with everything in linux, customising is the key and as such, I'd like to share a link to some pretty nice custom cd cover overlays. here's the link: http://lava360.com/freebies/download-free-dvd-case-psds-icons/ . - Nov 28 2010

Cover-thumbnailer

Various Gnome Stuff by FLOZz 68 comments

Hey all, finally got this thing to work! As per FLOZz'es instructions, just had to manually add a new entry via gconf-editor with the string "cover-thumbnailer %u %o" without quotes under the name command. Thanks for your help good sir.

I also have one other issue and wondering if this is universal. When opening my music folder using side pane in nautilus browser, thumbnails come up perfectly...however...I have a symlink to my music folder on the Desktop, and when opening my music folder via the shortcut, I got no thumbnails generated. Any idea what's going on here. I've even tried to add the shortcut link under cover-thumbnail settings as list of music folders. Cheers again. - Nov 22 2010
Cover-thumbnailer

Various Gnome Stuff by FLOZz 68 comments

Hey all. I'm making slow progress on getting this thing to work. I currently have it installed, but cover-thumbnails are not showing up. I am on Mandriva 2010.1, and have installed the required dependencies. After install, I logged out then logged back in, but nothing happenend. Also tried nautilus -q to no avail. I even tried nautilus -q && nautilus & exit, but my gnome session played up with nautilus windows opening up all over the place. After reading through the comments, here's what I have done so far via command line.

command: gconftool-2 --get /desktop/gnome/thumbnailers/inode@directory/enable

output: true

command: gconftool-2 --get /desktop/gnome/thumbnailers/inode@directory/command

output: true (NOTE: original output was no value set, but I want into config-editor and added a new key named "command"...not sure if this is a correct workaround)

command: test -x /usr/bin/cover-thumbnailer && echo ok || echo error

output: bash: test: too many arguments.

Also, if i enter the command cover-thumbnailer /home/music/Artist/ out.png, it dumps a nice little thumbnail image into my current working directory.

Help anyone? - Nov 18 2010

Glad you got it to work. Remember that this is a linux base community, and coming here with comments like yours upset a few people (including myself). You cannot compare linux to either windows/MAC. It is like comparing chocolate to sh!t. There is no comparison. - Nov 28 2009

It's a refreshing scene to see such a lovely dark theme! Fresh! Really love how you combined pixmaps, murrine, and mist...quite an interesting choice, but I can definitely see that they work quite well together as evident by your theme. This makes me feel embarassed! I've slacked off on my theme a little bit. :D I can definitely say I'm inspired to do much needed polishing up to my own theme. :)

Again, enjoying this theme to the fullest! Nice one mate. :) - Nov 26 2009

I agree. Very similar to mac's default wallpaper. I'm just curious...when linux offers the ability to customise your desktop to virtually how you want it, why do people opt to make it look like a mac? I'm not bagging on anyone, just curious. - May 30 2009
