First Prb : Seems the metabar_add.desktop
goes in the entries folder , normally it must go to the Add folder . This icon is used for adding the metabar in the entries folder

Second Prb:
This version run only with konqueror in SU
mode

In your package you use a macro for aclocal-1.7 included in automake package 1.7.

On Suse 9.2 , we are at level 1.9.1 for automake

Impossible to reamize the phase 2 ( make ) of your tarball
