Wow, how nice... Very clean and good looking edge-angle definition.

Is the Candido development stopped?

In the other hand, sad button icons but that might be changed very easy...

System Sounds by nfsp 14 comments

Nice !! Though they have very low audio resolution no matters if they were recorded in 44.000 Hz *.ogg wich is a very good format...

It looks like you have been plugging mic-in with sint-out which is hawful or perhaps you got a bad PCM level.

Read backwards is just a suggestion, because your sounds are one of the best from here, but they would be nicer.

bye!

The theme is great although the archive is awful. If you are using "Wind*ouch" or O[bsene] X please use 7zip (GPLd) to create correct tar.gz archives.

Or release them in anything but not the ugly ZIP or the great but corporative RAR:

------------------------------------
tar, tar.bz2, tar.gz, 7z [...]

You got the picture right? Bye and take care ;> - Jan 29 2007

People is starting to develope real (mature-sober-aestetic-pleasant) and very good looking themes !!

That is nice, also because of they are looking in the Linux way, with some inspiration from here and there though original, not like a Vista or OSX clone.

Very nice indeed. Thanks for your time and congratulations !!

QUESTION - SUGGESTION: I note this theme depends on Rezlooks, perhaps you will like better the new Murrina to achieve an even more consistent look (it is faster too).

Very good, and faster as I am going to hell.

Sadly, happy themes. Although, you are not our personal slave [...]

Perhaps I must suggest a little radical change to the "scroll bars" like MurrinaMirev2, though not so tiny and against the same (bar) background size, something like this:

Do you realize it?

Murrine GTK+ Cairo Engine

GTK2 Themes by cimi86 371 comments

In the directory where murrine was previously compiled I.E: cd /home/you/backups/murrineXX.
do a "sudo make uninstall" from any terminal.

Although, If you don't compiled murrine from sources, uninstall your debs or rpms (very many distros can do it automagically)
before installing the new murrine.

Thanks to Cimi for this really "clearlook(s)" ;) I just hope to be more happy. Lets see what will happen... - Jan 24 2007

Just what I have been looking for...

I don't have time to make the perfect theme, so thanks for your work, you have made it for me.

You have a very especial taste: I appreciate somebody who does not use to have icons into the buttons (bigger size buttons are childish and those icons too), likes dark colors (not burning my eyes), not using brown (the shitty color...) and uses square widgets (cleaner).

Therefore: keep walking !! thanks, thanks, thanks. - Jan 24 2007

buuf icon theme

Full Icon Themes by fana-m 41 comments

Two Buuf icon sets in gnome-look?

1-) Are you sharing efforts with 1.6rc3? Or wasting time by sepparating thus works.

2-) Where is the most finished work? 1.01 or 1.6rc3

I need to know because I will share some home made fixes to various mime-types for 1.6rc. May be adding some more icons too. But I don't have interest in sharing for devious (dubious) purposes.

I will be glad if you give me some light about this duplicity of Buuf sources.

Whatever ... Thanks for your contribution.
I like very much Mattahan icons but I don't think It will be the default theme for "any" GNU/Linux distribution or Gnome release. It is like his name says: "Buuf".

In disposition to get some help? I see a serious lack of good "soft links" here. Too much basic mime types unresolved. I have done some work for personal use so, if you are interested I would post here or send you the files via e-mail.

I like this theme. Thank you for your effort. My prefered was gargantuan but, this theme is a good provisional replacement.

Download and unpack the theme archive. Use whatever unpacker that makes you feel comfortable
(file-roller?). I sugest you "atool", "tar" or "p7z".

You "must" unpack to $HOME/.themes (/home/your name/.themes)

Then edit $HOME/.gtkrc-2.0 like this:
include "/home/youralias/.themes/Khali/gtk-2.0/gtkrc"
If there is another include, comment him using # before. If .gtkrc-2.0 don't exists, create it.

That means: Your GTK2 applications will include that file ("gtkrc" from Khali or another theme) in the basic config.

...And "voila !!" you have Gnome/GTK2 apps
themed. - Nov 08 2006

Adding extra version with coloured file bar? (File, Edit ..)

It sounds bad, but I see a better Tish theme with a bar similar, but not equal, to Rezlooks. A bar on its own style.

Maybe it will look a little re-charged for your taste... I drop the lines, you make the choice.

Finally: I don't love themes resembling mac, but yours are awesome. - Nov 05 2006

Murrina-DarkThemes

I'm not sure what is the criteria of bright theme followers to boicot this pack.

I'm sure (As a member of dark and light sides) that some themes like coffee don't deserve his name (more than 5 cups for day may give some weight to my arguments). But, I will not qualify your theme pack guided by pure hate for bad coffee (color and taste). I have been using dark blue for various days. That is a miracle my friend !!

So, thanks for dark-blue (it deserves my 3 votes ) Keep the labour, and thanks for inverting your time in us.

Saddly: Dark Blue don't works with Murrine 0.3 (updated) on my machine. If that is a real problem for other people: kick back again with dark themes!!

Thanks! (Doctor H.) - Nov 05 2006

Mac OS X Bundle

GTK2 Themes by inethacker 28 comments

I don't use gnome desktop, only gnome-gtk applications. So, there is a simple solution for you. NOTE: There must be better ways to do the job.

1-) Create a new icon on your desktop or the main bar (taskbar) doing a right click - If I remember well the command is called "new launcher"-.

2-) Then write this: killall gnome-session &. If you neeed to shutdown directly add a ;halt or ;reboot.

3-) If that dont works, or looks difficult, create a new text document in your desktop called "yournamehere.sh" and write this:
#!/bin/sh
killall gnome-session
halt

SAVE AND EXIT --

Then activate the executable permisions: Just do a right clic to the new text file and check in the dialog tab called permissions. (It is called script) and will kill gnome and shutdown your PC when you do double click on it.

4-) Learn how to use XFCE4, Fluxbox or ION3 and install it: Just a dirty joke!

Good luck with the mighty good Gnome. Hopefully this will help you. - Nov 05 2006

I'm just a very rare hybrid between teletubie land (aqua styles) and the very-practical-all-good-looking-retro-square-flat themes.

Now, I get what I "ever" searched for: A very, very stylish, sophisticated and not too much burn-my-eyes-please theme. MATCHING MY ION3 WM STYLE !!

I changed some colors for personal use, but that retro green is a touch of grace. The font you recommended is just superb, matches with artwiz X fonts, giving a fresh "GNU/Linux" environment sensation.

Thanks for your time and effort and overall for your respect to noob people (You are ever concise and good for explanations) - Nov 03 2006

Clean, stilish, creative, very pro, very good job. You are making more rich and comfortable the Gnome Desktop. GNU-thanks a lot for that.

IMO I think I will modify -for personal use- the Directory icons to make it look a little more Square. For me, there is a little more curves than needed at top corners.

Thanks for your time. I appreciate so much this work, and every individual that understands Gnome-GNU-Desktop here must do it.

I preffer more "serious" icon themes -not toonish- but this is the most long life icon theme in my self-paranoic-theme-me-for-intellectual-comfort desktop.
The most notable thing is a good "proffesional" look. Much of the best remarked icon themes doesn't have that -its very difficult, I know- but this -icon- theme goes beyond all marks.
